Q & A concerning the changes of the date:

1. The routes of the events in 2019:
Marathon route remains the same than 2018. The start takes place at the statue of the legend Paavo Nurmi at 15:00 (3 PM) next to Helsinki City Running Day Expo. The route is beautiful, shows the best sides of the Scandinavian nature and takes the runners into the city of Helsinki. The route has received excellent feedback in previous years. Helsinki City Run Half Marathon, Marathon Relay and Helsinki City 5 are planned on the marathon route (with different starting times so there won't be too crowded). The route will be negotiated in co-operation with the Helsinki City officials and police. It will be confirmed as early as possible after the confirmation with the officials.

2. The event schedules 2019
Kids Minimarathon starts at 9 am. Helsinki City Run half marathon's first starting corral starts at 11:30 am (five starting corrals in every 10 minutes). Garmin Helsinki City Marathon and Relay starts at 3 PM. Helsinki City 5 (Ruoholahti market square starts at 3:15 PM). Competition and the Running Expo are open on Friday May 17th and Saturday May 18th for the bib and race package pick up.

3. Are the starting times overlapping? Will the route be crowded?
Events are mostly starting in different times. Routes and starting times are planned in a manner which ensures that runners are able to run freely and without slowdowns. The purpose of the connecting the events in 2018  was to increase the number of runners in the long run. More runners mean more and better services and even better atmosphere!

4. Price and what is included in it?
Prices are going up in steps. Find the what the price includes at each event’s webpage.

5. I want to change from one event to another, what should I do?
If you are already registered in Sportyfeel Helsinki City Run 2019, but you’d rather take part in another event the same day, please send us email: maraton@sul.fi. You will get instructions to pay the price difference between the events. If you want to change it to cheaper event we won't return the price difference.
